Ceri Hand, Director
Ceri Hand draws on over seventeen years in the art world, having previously acted as Director of Metal, Liverpool; Director of Exhibitions, FACT, Liverpool (where she was a contributing curator to Liverpool Biennial in 2004 and 2006); Deputy Director of Grizedale Arts (Cumbria) and Director of Make, London. Recent exhibitions curated include Yang Fudong, Jill Magid, Vito Acconci, Chen Chieh-jen, Walid Raad/The Atlas Group, Christian Jankowski, Matthew Buckingham and The Black Audio Film Collective. She established The Ceri Hand Gallery, Liverpool's first contemporary commercial art gallery, in 2008. She currently sits on the board of Openeye Gallery, Liverpool, the advisory board of Mute magazine, London, on the Creative and Cultural Industries Advisory Board for John Moores University and is also supporting a new MA with John Moores University, Liverpool. She has been a nominator for the Northern Art Prize, and recently curated Future50 for Axis, in Leeds.

Leila Aitken, Director of Sales
Leila Aitken has nine years experience working in the visual arts, the majority of which has been with established contemporary commercial art galleries. She was a Sales Executive at White Cube, London where she worked for four years and prior to this she was involved in Sales at the Timothy Taylor Gallery, London and ShanghART, Shanghai. She has also spent time working in the public sector, most recently as Development Manager (Individual Giving) at Manchester City Galleries and previously at the Hayward Gallery and Bloomberg SPACE, London.
Leila Aitken read Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, University of Oxford and subsequently studied Museum and Gallery Management at City University, London.

Lucy Johnston, Gallery Manager
Lucy graduated in 2008 in History of Art and Museum Studies, where her specialist interests included the boundaries between the curator and artist and the presence of ephemera within contemporary art. She previously worked at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, curated a site specific exhibition of young contemporary artists within a flat on Hope Street, Liverpool and a group exhibition, If You Can Hold Your Breath, with international artists at the Ceri Hand Gallery.
